Don't Die My Love

The Best Book Of All Time!
Oh my God! My cousin told me to read this book, and I was like, what? I looked at the title, and thought it would be a waste of my time. It looked kinda corny. So not true. Once I started reading it, I fell in love. The book is so touching, you just want to read more and more of it. When I finished it, I went into my bathroom and sobbed for about a half hour. I recomend this book for any one, romantic or not. Read it, you'll love it!

Also read- By Lurlene McDaniel: Til Death Do Us Part, Saving Jessica, and Please Don't Die

For die hard romantics- Anything by Julie Garwood or Judith McNaught (also known as Amanda Quick) Read these if you're a teenager, they're adult fiction.

A real romance/tear jerker!
Omg, this waz the first Lurlene McDaniel book i ever read. I cried and cried, i probably went through a box of tissues. Julie waz so blessed to have someone love her like that. I think Luke(Julie's boyfriend) is the one everyone is looking for, sweet caring, atheletic, and love's u wit his whole heart. I would love to find someone like that. Julie is so luck to have had someone like that in her life. It waz the best book, i'll never get rid of this book. This may be the best book Mrs.McDaniel has ever written besides Sixteen and Dying(i'm a sucker for cowboys!) Trust me you will not be able to but this book down!remeber if any of u find a love like that never take him for granted(not that julie did though) we can only hope to find a love that strong, enjoy the best book in the world!

Touching Story of Love and Death
After reading this book...it's all I can think about. A real tear-jerker. I bawled my eyes out from the time of Luke's death til after I finished reading the story. The chemistry between Julie and Luke was so powerful and romantic. Why do bad things always have to happen to good people?! This is one of those books that I'll never throw away. I keep it on my night stand and still look back to it. This was the first book I've ever read by Lurene McDaniel and I'm hoping to find others just as good as Don't Die, My Love. "Luke was gone. But he was waiting for her somewhere. Somewhere, on the other side of all her tomorrows."

Redeeming Love

I give it 5 stars because I can't give it more!
I LOVED this book! Ordinarily, I do not recommend religious books to anyone, because what works for me will not usually work for other people. In times past, I would simply say that I enjoyed the book, but would be very noncommittal when asked if I would recommend it. This time, however, I highly recommend this book!

It was an excellent retelling of the story of Gomer and Hosea. It moved me from anger to love, from tears of sorrow to tears of joy. It was a great example of how God's love, expressed through man, can heal another person's heart. It showed how no matter how far we try to run, God is always there for us and with us, and He will take as much time as we need to teach us of Him and His love.

Redeeming Love is, at its heart, a story of restoration and forgiveness -- the kind that has to take place not only on a spiritual level, but also on an intrapersonal level and within one's self. It's also a lesson on judgement. So many people had so quickly passed judgement on Angel that she internalized their negativity, and they missed out on the opportunity to heal her wounded spirit. Even Micheal almost missed his chance, until he allowed the Lord completely bend his will to the divine purpose the Lord had intended.

This book will make you fully appreciate the goodness of the Lord. I will awaken in your spirit a renewed desire to be drawn into His fold. If you are not moved by this story, check your pulse, you may be dead.

A moving picture of the unshakeable love of God
What a joy to be able to share my thoughts about this book with whomever may read this. This is the first book Francine Rivers wrote after coming into her relationship with Christ. Because of that, it has a rawness and a fresh fascination with the incredible love of God. The characters are real and believable, especially Angel, whose life experiences have left her bitter and angry, certain that there is no hope for redemption or love. The story that unfolds is so much more than the "sappy" romance-novel cover depicts (I wish the publisher would redesign it). Even for me, a Christian for 15 years, it was deeply moving and humbling to read of how unshakeable God's love is, and also His discipline. I have reccomended this book to so many people, all of whom have had similar responses to mine, and I would suggest it as a way to show God's amazing love to anyone you may know who doesn't know Him. Praise God for servants who are gifted in such unique ways as Mrs. Rivers - may she continue to glorify Him with her stories!

This book grabbed me by the collar and would not let me go!
The first day I bought this book, I sat on my desk and told myself I'd just read a chapter before I go to bed. That was 9pm. No matter how hard I tried, I could not put the book down. I found myself teary eyed, reading the ending, at 5am the next morning. Intending to read just the first few pages, I ended up reading the entire book in one sitting (with one bathroom break!).

Everytime Angel would run away from Michael's love, I would say, "you stupid, ungrateful woman!" But as I was reading, God reminded me of all the times when I myself would backslide from my faith, thinking that I could make it on my own without Him - and of how unconditional His love is (like Michael's) when I come to my senses and ask for His forgiveness. After I finished the novel, I couldn't help but thank God for His forgiving, faithful, redeeming love.

I definitely recommend this book. But don't read it like I did - Don't read it in one sitting until 5am when you need to be at work at 7am.!!

Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul II: 101 More Stories of Life, Love and Learning
Published in Library Binding by Bt Bound (October, 1999)
Authors: Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, and Kimberly Kirberger

A Must-Read!
Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul II is another great inspiration for all teenagers. Following complacently in the footsteps of its predecessor, it proves that life is a bit easier to live when you're not alone. The stories stretch from topics of love and first kisses to friendships and hardships, and even to growing up and making a difference. I suggest this book as a must-read for anyone going through a rough time, or just anyone at all. The heart-warming stories are exceptionally comforting as you realize that you're not alone this world when it comes to your feelings about things. This is definitely a five star book, indeed.

Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul II
Chicken Soup for the Teenage soul II is a book in which different people enter stories about their life. They would enter a story from their life, which has to do with Relationships, Friendship, Love, Kindness, Tough Stuff, Family, Learning Lessons, Making a Difference, and Growing Up. People would send in stories on those topics because those are the topics that are in the book. The stories in this book are very helpful too!
This book is for both teenager's boys and girls. I could definitely say that this is my favorite book. The next book I am going to read is the first Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul. I can't wait to get started! I hope my review encouraged you to read this book!

Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul Part II
The Chicken Soul for the Teenage Soul Part II The Story of My Life

Chicken Soup is a great book for every teen. This book is filled with many stories of teens who have experienced tough times in their life. As a teenager facing her life as a motherless daughter, I related to this book significantly. Chicken Soup isn't for a certain age of kids. There are stories from Junior High years and beyond my age of seventeen. Included in this book were stories of teenager's parents who write about their son/daughter's life. Including this is a special bonus because it's good to hear the parent's view and stand point over the problems in their child's life. Throughout this book, I found myself barely able to put it down. This book is filled with captivating knowledge that makes the reader feel as if they are involved in the story. There were so many times I felt like some stranger had written my life story in detail. The authors of the Chicken Soup books have made an astounding breakthrough in literature. Not only have they made a book that heals the soul, but they have made a series of books are focused on individuals, and not society as a whole. This book is a great gift for everyone. Being able to relate to so many other kids who have faced the same problems I have is truly inspiration and strength to live on.

Phantom
Published in Hardcover by Delacorte Press (March, 1991)
Author: Susan Kay
Average review score:

An excellent tale of the struggle between good and evil.
When I read this book it had been over 10 years since I had read the original Gaston Leroux novel of Phantom. I enjoyed Susan Kay's writing immensely. She does an incredible job of portraying a character's struggle between good and evil. The main character, Erik, has the potential to be either an angel or a demon. Because of his genetic disfigurement, he's usually treated as the latter. Nevertheless, he struggles. Susan Kay paints such an excellent portrait, that at the times when Erik's behaviour is most heinous, the reader feels most sympathetic toward him. We come to understand what drives him to the things he does. I really liked the way the author expanded the character of the Persian. Most adaptations of Phantom eliminate his character altogether. Kudos to Susan Kay for knowing when a character is worth keeping. Fans of the original novel should be warned: There are several discrepancies between this version and the original. However, one needs familiarity with the original story (or the Broadway show) in order to really appreciate this book. Susan Kay begins with the Phantom's birth and ends several years after his death. Where there is much detail in the events of Erik's life outside of the original story, she does a very abridged version of the events covered in the original story. I have two other disappointments with this book. (Thus, I could only give it four stars.) One, the author glosses over another four-year period of Erik's life. It is during that four-year period that he apparently mastered the garote and became a vicious killer. Although his later motivations for violence are explained in great detail, she fails to tell where he learned to kill without sensitivity. My only other criticism is that in an afterward to the book (which I read before purchasing the book), the author says that she wrote the book to answer questions leftover from the original. Two of my questions were never even addressed. First, who is the other Phantom with the widebrimmed hat? Second, who is the ratcatcher? However, those two criticisms aside, Phantom is an excellent book. I would love to read more of Susan Kay's literature.

Absolutely Spectacular Piece of Work
This book. . . ah, if only I could find the proper words to describe it. How I loved it. It is, and I know it always will be, my favorite book. I have forced all my friends to read it, and I hope I can at least convince you to read it :) I applaud Susan Kay for creating this marvellous, captivating masterpiece.

The fullness of this novel appeals to me especially. You go through Erik's life with him from beginning to end. . . and as other characters are introduced, the story builds and builds to even greater heights. The emotions I experienced when reading through Phantom were tumultuous and intense. Kay's writing is exceptional, from her descriptions to the dialouge.

His childhood was certainly heart-breaking in many ways. But it had nice peaks. . . I certainly enjoyed the period when he learned of architechture and was enthralled by the beautiful buildings of the city. . .

I must admit, that along with poor Christine, I was enchanted by Erik. Such a full, fascinating character. . . a truly amazing man. The progression of their relationship was odd, to be sure, but all that had happened to Erik before made it seem almost natural.

I implore you. . . if you have not already, read this book. Yes, I am a walking, talking, typing advertisement for this book. As aforementioned. . . I love it.

After you've done so, you will know why I'm telling you to now :) Happy Reading!

Breathtaking... amazing...heartbreaking!
I simply cannot imagine the story of the Phantom having happened any other way after reading this novel! Susan Kay is brilliant. Erik comes alive in her text, more human than ever before. The author's imagination is stunning; the re-creation of Erik's life prior to and through the main body of events at the Paris Opera is so believable you lose your heart to the Phantom at the first page. The portrayal of Erik's life in Persia is especially outstanding. Kay's imagery of the Persian makes him no longer a mystery. Given a name and life and true experiences that bond him as a friend to Erik, her Nadir is more than the shadowy sketch given by Leroux. Heartrending are the last two sections of the book, where Erik falls in love with Christine and their relationship is poignantly told-- and Raoul ends the narrations for good. Christine comes across beautifully, and Susan Kay shows the relationship between Erik and the young woman very intimately. Her ending is sure to leave the reader in tears; the twist she creates is perfection... what some of us wish could have been. Unforgettable; very literally read it and weep

Friends and Lovers

A POWERFUL, TRUE-TO-LIFE ROMANCE
Friends and Lovers was an excellent novel. It kept me totally enthralled from start to finish. Eric's other two books Sister Sister and Milk In My Coffee were excellent as well. I have to give credit where credit is due and Eric Jerome Dickey deserves it all. I finished the book within a matter of hours and I was upset when I got finished because it meant that I was no longer involved in the lives of Tyrel, Shelby, Debra and Leonard. I strongly suggest that Eric and his agents discuss a possibly movie deal for Friends and Lovers because I would love to see it on the big screen, Nia Long and Shemar Moore would be perfect for Shelby and Tyrel!! Keep up the good work Eric and as long as you do I will remain a loyal fan.

P.S. If we can't get a movie deal, will you at least consider a sequel. Maybe it could be about Debra finding a new love and Shelby and Tyrel having marital problems

THE BOMB!
"Friends and Lovers" is my absolute favorite book of all times! I absolutely loved it. Before I bought the book, I hadn't read many books by African American authors, much less authors that were men. Terry McMillian was the only one. When I went away to college a fellow student asked me why I only read books by white authors? I didn't have a good excuse, so I set out to read and support African American literature. I was at the bookstore buying a book when I saw "Sister Sister" I thought of my friends words and bought the book. I tore that book up in about 4 hours! *lol* I went back to the bookstore the next day to get "Friends and Lovers" but it wasn't out yet. I had to keep re-reading "Sister Sister" I finally did get "Friends and Lovers", and it was worth my wait. I finished "Friends and Lovers" the same night. It was such a good book. Debra, Shelby, Leonard, and Tyrell were like people I knew. I passed the book on to my 15 year old brother, who in turn passed it on to our mother. We all love it! I just got finished reading "Milk in my Coffee" and I loved that too! Eric Jerome Dickey can do no wrong when it comes to telling a story!

A Oustanding 5* read that u cant put down until its done!!!
I really enjoyed this book. Each character was given their due time and time to shine as well. Tyrel was a handsome find. His character was portrayed with such depth as was every one of the people involved. He & SHelby's relationship seemed rocky yet so solid at times. Leaonard he was a man of standard and he had been like Tyrel's brother in being such a good friend... Tyrel was dealing with a married woman who did him no justice.. Leonard let him know that and so the story goes.... they both wind up with some really special ladies and i dont want to hurt the plot any for those of you who havent read it but Eric has put such spin on this book that it will have you reeling from the beginning to the very end.. Eric Jerome Dickey has a real flair for writing and i hope that you all enjoy this book and many of the others. I have read them all.

Wonderful Book on Teenage Experiences
Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul is a wonderful set of stories about the good times and the hard times of being a teenager. It has stories on relationships, family, tough stuff like the thought of suicide or the loss of a loved one, and many other things that any teenage person may have to deal with in his or her life. It is a definite book to read for any teenager. It really related to me because I to am still a teeneger and have many responsibilties and times of hard ships. That point where you don't think it could get any worse. And after reading this book I have learned that I'm not the only one having these experiences in life. The stories and poems in this book touch me very much and I have learned a lot of things about just how to handle certain situations and even if bad things do happen, there will be a brighter day and it's not the end of the world. Many emotions came over me while reading this book also; laughter and joy from reading some of the happy stories about family and friends, and also sadness and sorrow for those stories about the tough times and bad things. The point of this book is to just give not only teenagers but anyone who reads it that you can and are a strong person and it's how you deal with the situations that are given to you that makes you stronger. Just reading these stories have made me a stronger person.
This is a wonderful book and I give it two thumbs up. I would recommend it to any teenager who deals with problems and stress in their life which pretty includes every teenager in the world. After reading this book, I believe that you will have a better understanding of life in general and once again that your not the only person out there with problems. You'll laugh, you'll cry, but most of all, you'll feel better about yourself and if your like me, feel much stronger in accomplishing your goals in life and not giving up. So pick it up today and go on a journey that other teenagers have went on before. Maybe one cn actually feel good that some of those tough times have not happened to them personally and may find a way of keeping those tough times out of your life.

What Can I Say? It is THE BEST book ever written!
This book made me laugh and cry. I enjoyed it to the fullest extent possible. It means a lot to me, and says so much about the difficult stage of teenage life. I think on my next trip to the bookstore I'll pick up another book in the series! It was just that good. Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul is a book I will always refer to and cherish. A precious keepsake to treasure forever. This is a definite recommendation to all my friends. This book has helped me through a difficult time in my life, the death of my Mom. Reading the chapter "Tough Stuff" helped me to deal with this and realize I wasn't alone. This is definitely a book you can relate too! I love to read books, especially fantasy - but these real life stories topped them all! I can't wait until " A Second Helping" comes out, I hope to be the first to buy it! The experience of Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul will stay with me all my life

Very Heart Warming and Well Written
I am 11 years old,a young adolesence boy,My mother (a.k.a Santa Claus) bought me Chicken Soup For The Teenage Soul for CHristmas. I immediately put my other presents away and started reading. It was sad, heart warming, and happy at certain times.I realized how special I really am. It was amazing how other people around and over my age felt. Also very nice to see how girls feel and want in a man. Also, how no matter how hard times get, suicide is never the answer. There was two stories in particular I loved Sparky (in the section "On Learning)you will never believe the ending. Another on of my favorites is about suicide and how everybody deserves a friend it is Always Return Your Phone Calls (in the section "Tough Stuff") It is sad, beatiful, and very inspirational. I suggest this book to every kid my age this book is so good I am going to read it over and over again. Thank-you.

best book u can EVER read
this is d 1st book from judith mcnaught that ive ever read....& trust me....it is SOOO good!! ive since been a huge fan of hers...but i got to admit this is by far her bes. in fact, it is THE best EVER....
at first, after seeing that it was about business, i kinda wasnt so interested, but i was wrong. the love n i mean LOVE (not just lust, but true all-consuming love) between Matt & Meredith was so touching, & their pain from the misunderstanding that Mer's dad caused will just tear your heart apart. but them making up was just blissful. but that's not all....then they find out that they're still married....ahhhh.....thats even better.
i just love it when Matthew said 'you have no idea just how much-i'd do for you' *sigh*
once you start....you'll totally get so entranced by the book (that you'll totally be able 2 relate to) that u just cant put it down... you'll just get so caught up with their lives & their feelings that it makes you sometimes wanna jump in & sort evryting out between the characters. sometimes it's hard to remember that they're just FICTIONAl characters cuz they seem so real. everything that's felt between matt & mer is just evrything you'll want in real life....true love
cheers to judith mcnaught....& may you write more books that'll take us to Paradise :))
P.S. the book Perfect (Paradise's supposed kinda sequel) is nothing compared to Paradise

TOTALLY CAPTIVATING!!!!
Despite hearing good comments about Judith McNaught books, I have never read one before Paradise. The book was totally captivating, a real page turner! I wasn't really a romance novel reader before this book, but I became so completly absorbed into the lives of these two vivid, striking characters, that I can say I am now one of the converted. After reading this book I had to buy the next novel available by J.M. I haven't been let down yet, Whitney, My love was equally enjoyable! Paradise is definately fast-paced, with witty lines and two irresistible main characters. Meredith, was a capable heroine, but her character was also bolstered by her friend Lisa who adds a light-hearted frank air to the books atmosphere. There were some good plot twists, and brief distractions from the focus of the main characters to develop the other characters in the book. I found that interesting as the romance novels I had read before were completly centred and fixated on the main characters only using the others as bystanders or convenient devices to bring some issue to a climax. They were that and more. All in all it was a good read. More importantly was that each time I read it (5 times and counting) i found something fresh and new, to love about the storyline, or the charaters. Read the excerpt on this site, but don't draw any conclusions from the first few pages of the book, buy it and delve into the heart of it and discover the true gem that I found when I read it.

Much more than your typical "romance" novel
Paradise was the first book I read by Judith McNaught and I was glad to start off which such a winner. It is a complicated extremely well written book about two complex and challenging people with a long history. The book compells you to keep reading and is a page turner from the first chapter.

It is the story of Meredith and Matthew- two people who met as teens, married and separated due to a cruel misunderstanding. Both have spent the intervening years apart trying to forget and concentrate on their careers. Years later they meet up when Meredith discovers that their divorce was never finalized- and she has a new fiancee (parker)! The years have allowed meredith to grow up and has allowed matthew to become a wealthy and successful businessman. Both have their own misunderstandings about their youthful marriage and what drove them apart and matthew wants desperately to try to make things work again- despite thinking that Meredith had betrayed him earlier.

This book was heartwrenching and complex- making you cry and root for the characters. Even the secondary characters of parker, meredith's best friend and their parents are well written and interesting! A very worth while read!!

The Lost Boy: A Foster Child's Search for the Love of a Family

Captivating
I had read "A Child Called 'It'" in three goes. I had been annoyed being left with the big Q: "Why?". But imagine how Dave must have felt then.

And I finished reading The Lost Boy in one go! Still I didn't find the answer, tho it teases the reader with a prospect of the the big A. I hope it's in the 3rd book!

I realize the simplicity of the language and the smooth storytelling make it easy to keep reading. And I was kept with the continuos suspense of anticipating a string of possible outcomes that can either be horrendous or relieving.

I hope there are no more such mothers as The Mother.

I would recommend the book for the true extraordinary story it has, the easy reading it presents, and the uncommon love it illustrates. Sure you'll either ponder at your own blessed life or get inspired by the trying yet triumphant journey, or both.

The Lost Boy
After reading A Child Called IT, I could not help but read the lost boy. And now after reading the lost boy I can't wait to read A man called Dave. The lost boy was about a boy who went through the worst childhood anyone could ever image, or even wish upon anyone else to go through. This book only covers from ages 12-18, which is a lot more pleasant that what he went through the rest of the years. After his school realized what had been happening to David, they called the police and social services and was taken away from his mother. When his mother discovered that David had revealed the family secret she was ferious. But she couldn't do anything to him, they went to court and he was warded to the state until the age of 18, so his mother couldn't get to him. Over the next five years David was stiched from foster home to foster home. A few of the places he became comfortable in but that for one reason or another was taken away. Over the years his mother had said that he was a bad child and that no one could love him. She had said it so much that he belived it. At first he would would have nightmares about her coming to take him back to "the house." His nother had a certain power over him, that was hard for him to get away from. His mother got visitation rights, so she would go and visit him at the home where he was staying, but most of the time she wouldn't even talk to him. She would talk to his foster parent and tell them to be careful because he would try to be sneaky, and that he was such a bad child when he lived with her. When she visited him she never called him by his name, instead, she would call him "The Boy." Around age 17 or 18, David hadn't talked to his father in so long that he decides to go and find him. David ends up finding him, but when he does he is not the man he remembers. He is a drunk and he has no love left in his eyes. His eyes were dark and lost. Reading this book made me realize how strong David was. He had the worst childhood that anyone could ever imagine, and he is still alive and kept his faith through it all.

This is the Most EXTREME Case of Child Abuse Survival!
This book was very touching and unbelievable that a child could survive such horrific abuse by the mother! I couldn't get over how this mom could be so loving toward her other kids, and such a monster to David, make him eat vomit, drink ammonia. tie him up sometimes in the garage, beat him and burn him badly, and you name it. As I read this true story,I wondered what it was that made her tick and why a person could have such a hate on for one of her own children. And yet, through the story, David craved his mother's love so desparately, and he did love her. As he was sent to a foster home, he still sometimes tried to return to his mothers house. And she could never ever muster the least little bit of love for David. As I read, I could not figure out why the siblings, who knew what was happening, as well as the father, didn't report her much much sooner.

This story will bring tears to your eyes. And you'll wonder as you read it, how Dave ever survived at all.

Blood and Chocolate

Great book for supernatural YA fans
I really loved this book, it's sexy, funny, complicated, and well developed. Very artfully and beautifully written. I'd say it's Klause's best book yet, although I was more into The Silver Kiss, because I'm more of a vamp fan.

It's about a werewolf named Vivian who travels with her pack and savors the sweet night when she becomes wolf. She falls in love with a human, Aiden. A chain of murders spreading throughout the small West Virginian town, supposedly caused by animals, makes her fear for her pack's safety, and Aiden's after she realizes that she might be the cause. Although she is a werewolf, I was surprised by how much I could relate with her struggle of never really fitting in. She's seems so human, that's what great about this novel.

A great teen novel in general, I just give it four stars because werewolves aren't my bag. But it's such a great read, I highly reccomend it!

Silky, sensuous, and sexy
"Blood and Chocolate" is Annette Curtis Klause's third novel (following "The Silver Kiss" and "Alien Secrets"). Here, her writing darkens, yet we can't help but love every lightening-paced second of it.

Vivian Gandillon is a vivacious teen werewolf who doesn't know her place anymore. Stricken by her father's recent demise, and feeling half-responsible, she feels separated from her mother and other packmates and finds refuge in her artwork. Then she meets Aiden, a modern hippie poet who's intrigued by her raw and tenacious spirit. Vivian is torn between this human boy (who knows nothing of her true nature) and her pack (who hates humans altogether). A few late-night drinking binges cause Vivian some major black-outs, followed by gruesome murders. Vivian can't remember anything; is she a killer? With humans closing in all around and her beloved Aiden in the proverbial dark about her secret, Vivian is at a complete loss. Is she a sexy young woman or a violent werewolf?

Klause's descriptions are smooth and flawless with all subplots neatly stitched together. Particularly wonderful is Vivian's slow descent into madness and the way she tells off the people who get in her face. Everyone can understand Vivian being unable to connect with her mother and being courted by a persistant (and annoying) guy. The fact that Vivie can take this on by herself makes me want a sequel. I can't wait for the movie!

Strange name - fantastic book
I read this book because a friend suggested it, and since then I have read it twice. This book is incredible. The main character Vivian will make you think what it is like to be a teenager - even if you aren't a werewolf. This book is unusual in that Vivian can control her being a werewolf except during the full moon. The only other book that I have read about werewolves that has this is "Blood Trail" by Tanya Huff. Vivian's "pack" has moved to the suburbs after their farm was burnt down and their leader (Vivians father) died. In the suburbs there are constant fights for leadership, and Vivians mother must deal with the threat from a younger female. All that conflict is made worse when Vivian starts seeing a "meat boy". Vivian must decide whether or not to reveal her true nature to her new love - and she must also deal with the advances of the Five.

Vivian was a character that became like an old friend. You completely enter her world of scornful teenagers and pack-rules of her family. Gabriel makes you love him and hate him in turn as he becomes Vivians hunter and protector. At times I was frustrated with this book because it seems as if the author was keeping a secret from you - only to have the story engulf you.

I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone with a taste for the unusual. If you enjoy this book then you should also try "Blood Trail" - which has a vampire as well as werewolves.

The "Miracle" Your Marriage Has Been Hoping For
In his book "The Five Languages of Love" Dr. Chapman makes the reader view their relationship in ways they never thought of before. In fact he even gives examples where partners knew what was wrong but not how to fix it and by realizing what their language was they were able to work their relationships and marriages out. It was a wonderful read full of heartfelt expressions from a counselor to his patients, that came through as more of a friend to friend one-on-one style, or the shoulder you wish you could cry on kind of read. It was full of fresh information that will make you reconsider how you've viewed your relationship no matter how long you've been together. I was very pleased to find it was not another dry, textbook example of statistical facts and hypothesis put out for you to draw your own conclusions about. In fact he shows time and again real cases where this method works even in the worst situations! It is a terrific read that I finished in a few hours and will be sure to pass along to my friends. I can't wait to get started implementing what I've learned.

Good for Married, Single, and whoever else is frustrated.
I am not going to tell you about the authors writing techniques or anything else, I am going to tell you what this book has done for me.
A friend (male) suggested I read this book some time ago. Since I dont read relationship books I laughed it off, and continued with my relationship. By that time I had been in my relationship with a man for 7 years, and though we love eachother we just always seemed to fight. He didnt understand me, and I guess I didnt understand him either. My boyfriend and I decided to split and I left the country. One day I was bored and picked up the book, and from page one it made sense. I read the book in 3 hours, and I couldnt wait to call my (then ex) boyfriend back in the states. I told him about it, and asked him if he would read it. He said yes, and so I had a copy mailed to him. He read it, and everything started to come together for him also. A month later he asked me to come home, and I agreed. I can tell you these last 2 months have been the best time we have spent together in the 8 years we have been together. I wish I had the book a long time ago. Now I suggest it to everyone I know, and everyone loves it. Do yourself a favor and buy this book, it might just change your life too.

If You Are Married, You Have Got To Read This!
With communication being the number one factor in making relationship work, this is a must read for both spouses. Chapman hits the "nail on the head" as he uncovers the five languages of love: Quality Time, Words of Affirmation, Gifts, Acts of Service, and Physical Touch

Chapman clearly explains each language in a five chapters. Along the way, he includes experiences from real-life couples. After uncovering each language, Chapman uses the next couple of chapters to help the reader discover his or her own love language as well as the spouse's.

Whether you are newlyweds or have been married for years, this book is highly recommended above any other book on marriage. More than likely, a reader will discover they have misunderstood a mate because they were using the wrong language! I'm seeing my mate in completely different light now. :)
